Opheen Migraine

This medication is used as an antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and pain reliever to alleviate pains such as headaches, toothaches, back pain, menstrual pain, and pain associated with colds and flu, as well as to reduce fever.

Each Opheen Migraine Tablet Contains

  • Acetaminophen 250 mg

  • Aspirin 250 mg

  • Caffeine 65 mg

General Guidelines

This medication has been prescribed to treat your current condition; therefore, do not use it in similar cases or recommend it to others.

If you obtained this medication without a doctor’s prescription, consult a pharmacist regarding proper usage and dosage.

Before use, inform your doctor or pharmacist of the following:

  • Any allergies

  • Use of other medications

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Presence of other medical conditions

Indications

Dosage and Administration

Before using this medication, inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications, herbal products, traditional remedies, or supplements you are taking.

The dosage is determined by your doctor, but the general dosage is as follows:

  • Adults and individuals over 16 years: 2 tablets every 6 to 8 hours after meals, taken with a full glass of water.

If a dose is missed:

  • Take the missed dose as soon as possible on the same day.

  • Continue subsequent doses according to the regular schedule.

  • Do not double the dose.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

  • Use during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester, is not recommended unless specifically prescribed by a specialist doctor.

  • Use during breastfeeding is also not recommended.

  • If use is necessary under a doctor’s prescription, avoid breastfeeding during the treatment period.

Warnings

Contraindications

  • Should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

  • Avoid concurrent use with other acetaminophen- or aspirin-containing products.

Warnings and Precautions
If you are using this medication OTC and without a doctor’s prescription, pay attention to the following:

  • In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

  • Consult a doctor if pain does not improve after 10 days or fever persists after 3 days.

  • Avoid taking the medication close to bedtime.

  • Use with caution in patients with heart disease; avoid in patients with arrhythmia.

  • Do not use the medication for more than 10 days in a month.

  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if using this medication together with anticoagulants.

  • Due to the presence of aspirin in this formulation, it may cause gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding; this risk increases in cases of existing stomach ulcers, concurrent use of NSAIDs, concurrent alcohol consumption, long-term use, and in individuals over 60 years old.

  • Using this medication with other acetaminophen-containing products increases the risk of liver complications. The maximum allowable daily dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams.

  • This medication should not be used in children and adolescents with viral infections, including chickenpox or influenza. Behavioral changes along with nausea and vomiting are early signs of Reye’s syndrome; if these occur, discontinue use and inform your doctor.

Drug Interactions

Barbiturates, hydantoins, and carbamazepine; other antihistamines and nervous system drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, etc.; activated charcoal; cimetidine; oral contraceptives; oxymetazoline; isoniazid; lamotrigine; fluoroquinolones; monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as selegiline; hyaluronidase; live attenuated influenza vaccine; ketorolac (nasal, systemic); massimorelin; omastaxin; sulfinpyrazone; urokinase; vaccines containing varicella virus; angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors; spironolactone; sulfinpyrazone; ticagrelor.

Side Effects

Like any medication, while providing therapeutic benefits, this drug may also cause some unwanted effects, although not all of these occur in a single individual. If any of the following occur, inform your doctor or pharmacist:

  • Stomach pain, gastrointestinal ulcers, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting

  • Bleeding, tinnitus

  • Skin rash and hives

  • Unexplained bruising or bleeding

  • Asthma and shortness of breath, bronchospasm

  • Anemia, low blood pressure, tachycardia

  • Elevated liver enzymes, liver problems

  • Kidney problems

  • Hearing loss

  • Reye’s syndrome, angioedema, and anaphylactic reactions

  • Severe dizziness or fainting

Storage Conditions

  • Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture.

  • Keep out of reach and sight of children.

  • Do not use expired medication.
