Tio Bromide

Breathe Easy with Tiobromide

Tiobromide is a long-acting bronchodilator used to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps open airways, making it easier to breathe. Designed for daily use, Tiobromide minimizes persistent breathing difficulties associated with COPD and helps prevent sudden exacerbations of symptoms.

Warnings and precautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following apply to you:

  • If you suffer from problems such as narrow-angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), prostate problems or difficulty urinating.
  • If you have kidney problems, please consult your doctor.
  • Thiobromide is prescribed as a maintenance treatment for your chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, so it should not be used to treat a sudden attack of shortness of breath or wheezing.
  • Immediate allergic reactions such as skin rash, swelling, itching, wheezing or shortness of breath may occur after administration of theobromide. If this happens, please consult your doctor immediately.
  • Inhaled medicines such as theobromide may cause a feeling of tightness in the chest, coughing, wheezing or shortness of breath immediately after inhalation. If this happens, please consult your doctor immediately.
  • If the powder contents of the capsule get into your eyes, it can cause dilation of the pupil and blurred vision, so avoid getting it in your eyes.
  • When signs and symptoms of narrow-angle glaucoma appear, you should stop taking theobromide and immediately consult your doctor, preferably an ophthalmologist.
  • Please inform your doctor if you have had a heart attack (myocardial infarction) in the past 6 months or if you have had other heart conditions such as unstable or fatal irregular heartbeats or severe heart failure in the past year. This is important to decide whether theobromide is the right medicine for you.
  • Do not use theobromide more than once a day.
